Phil graduated summa cum laude from University of Maryland with a double major in Accounting and Operations Management and is a licensed CPA in Maryland. Phil started his career with Ernst & Young in their audit practice, focusing primarily on health insurers. As Director of Financial Projects at Liquidity Services, he managed global consolidations and led the development of custom-built finance systems to support the company’s eCommerce platform. Most recently, Phil served as the VP of Finance and Operations at a management and strategy consulting firm where he reduced month end close time by weeks, implemented process improvements that led to 30% reduction in accounting and finance costs and designed an overhaul of the company’s invoicing and collections processes, effectively reducing DSO by two weeks. With over thirteen years of experience, his focus is on being a strategic partner for businesses across any industry. Phil enjoys trips to the eastern shore, the Florida gulf coast and rooting for Baltimore sports teams.
